Thanks for the notification, however, not sure if this is the place to advise. I downloaded the list and after installation and reboot, my Outlook 2010 would not start at all, required a sys restore. Obviously some bug in the update. From what I can gather, others here had the same problem, there is a thread I started about it.

The Outlook issue is tied to KB3097877. I was crashing all over the place when trying to open emails with https links/references - removing this update - removed the issue.

Thanks for the info about KB3097877. I'm running Win7Pro 64bit and Outlook 2010 was crashing so I did a restore and the problem went away. After reading your post I did the update again without KB3097877 and I have no problems now.

With regard to this latest round of Windows Updates...27 of which are listed under the heading for "Office 2010', while the other 13 updates are listed under the heading for "Windows 7 x64..." - - INCLUDING the problematic Outlook update already mentioned in this topic - i.e., KB3097877.

I'm curious WHY the aforementioned KB3097877 is being listed in my Windows Update under the "Windows 7 x64..." heading instead of under "Office 2010" - which would seem to be the more appropriate place, IMHO?

One last question: Given the many occasions where I have continued to read info in various forums about problematic Windows Updates - would it be advisable to wait a few days before downloading and installing this latest batch of updates?

(Not long ago, I came across a list someone provided which showed specific updates NOT to install - apparently because they were somehow related to Microsoft's increasing "privacy-intrusiveness", not only with Win 10 users, but it seems M$ is trying to do the same with Win 7 users as well).

I've made a system image backup, hidden that KB3097877 update, and will now wait a few days to see if any issues are reported with any of the other updates in this latest batch.
