Yup, I've been seeing those all day.
If Outlook is crashing for you today, you're not alone.
A number of readers have emailed in to say that Outlook, the company's desktop client, had crashed following Microsoft's monthly release of security patches on Tuesday.Windows users report bugs, crashes after recent security patches | ZDNetUninstalling KB3097877 appears to fix many of the issues, according to those on the threads.
I had a problem with Outlook 2013 crashing after yesterdays updates. I did a repair on both my email accounts & the one that caused the problem was the Windows Live Mail account, after this was repaired using the Outlook repair the crashing problem has been fixed.
To do the Outlook repair, open Outlook, select File & then select Account Settings, then click on each of your email accounts individually & use the Repair option that is shown in the menu. After doing that the problem was fixed & no more crashing.
I'm having no issues with Outlook 2013, and I installed the update last night.
It was mentioned in another thread that KB3097877 kills gadgets, too. My gadgets are still working.
Not really clear why my system seems to be unaffected, but others aren't...
Hi All....new to the forum....after the updates today my laptop will not boot up on any mode...just flashing blue to black. Any suggestions?
Could be I am having problems derived from the same source. I have a desktop and two laptops. The desktop and the HP laptop both have had the KB3097877 update loaded last month and seemingly have no problems but the Toshiba laptop, which also had the same update last month, will not now download this month's updates. I'm currently trying a series of cures!
not sure about how many others havent had this issue but I havent encountered this issue so far thankfully but thanks for the heads up on this and now i know what to do if it does happen.
