Millions of Internet Explorer users must update, or lose patches

Just found out something brilliant about ie11,
It blocks an M$ site to include other M$ software updates like Office in my case 2007 from being offered lol
You just can't make this stuff up and it was an issue in 2013
and still is I just had to uninstall ie11 to get my office 2007 updates

This for 1
ie11 just like ie10 seems to crash quite a bit with some sites like Newegg.... pretty annoying actually
But when ie11 messes with the windows update system I have to draw a line and say goodbye
I reinstalled ie10 and it will stay that way unused for the most part.
I'm happy with Pale Moon 64 bit :)
Curious. I never had that kind of a problem.

I'm a bit confused as to why can't people download standalone update files from Microsoft using Firefox. I do it all the time. Never use IE, although it is still there and probably is still the default browser
It's not that. Windows Update uses IE natively. Most people use WU to update, and don't download updates separately. Even if you turn IE off, WU still uses it. Although I don't know if a WU update couldn't use the latest version automatically, regardless of what version of IE you use.
A Guy
I suppose that I'd better clarify what I meant for the benefit of member Unifex.
You can download the standalone installer for any windows update from here:
https://catalog.update.microsoft.com/v7/site/Home.aspx
See this screenshot from Cyberfox (Firefox 64bit) - note that it states that you must be running IE 6.0 or higher.
See this sreenshot from IE11. Update selected and added to basket for download. If you can do that on this site using Firefox please post a screenshot as proof. Then explain how you did it please.

IE Tab?

I use Pale Moon but I only ever get stuff from the Microsoft Download Center.
There is a FF add-on (IE Tab) that is supposed to let you get around those issues.
My friend has used it to get around the "only works in IE" issue, but I doubt that he has ever visited that site.

Thanks for the info. I tried that add on but it would not install. Then I tried a few other IE Tab add ons but no luck. I did manage to get the site to work using Portable SlimBrowser but that's using the same engine as IE.

My IE11 upgrade has so far, gone well; I do not need it so much for myself, but for my wife as she is the one that needs it to visit her work and health sites, and as I have told her, give me a shout if there are any problems while she is visiting them.
First I checked for: Prerequisite updates for Internet Explorer 11
In there I found six updates that were needed before I upgraded to IE11, and three that were optional, of the six I already had two installed and four as noted by the 'X'; That when I tried to install by way of the 'windows update standalone installer', the installer told me they were not needed.
Of the three optional ones I already had two installed, and I did not use 2882822 because I do not have plans to use the iTraceRelogger interface. All of these KB's have links at:
Prerequisite updates for Internet Explorer 11
- 2834140 - X Maybe not? I do not have a hybrid graphics.
Optional updates for an IE11 install on a Windows 7 machine.
- 2882822 - X Maybe not, used for developer tools, and I have no plans for web site development.

My hesitation to upgrade to IE11 came from a problem I had with IE10 where some folders in my Libraries would not show when I needed them for selecting files to upload to various forums, Sevenforums being one of them. The initial thread is here: I finally ran into a problem with Platform update KB2670838 and IE10
My solution found at post #17 of that thread: Solution to missing Folders using IE10 with Windows 7
