that's another story then. Anyway I have decided I am going to buy it as soon as possible, aswell as upgrade our office computers now using 2007.

Thanks Tews. Installing as we speak.

Didn't work:

However, after uninstalling Tech Prewiev everything went smoothly. I was mostly concerned about Outlook but had no problems. I just made a backup of Outlook folders in AppData\Local\Microsoft\ and AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\ and restored them after the reinstall.

All my accounts, rules, settings and mail are there. Nice.

Ive downloaded and installed the 32bit version, i also have a key for it but ive not been asked to enter it or activate anything.
I did upgrade over Office 2003.

Any ideas if i should have done something else during install? It seems to be working ok.

Cheers.

Dave.

So if I want to keep Office 2007 installed, I have to install the x86 version of Outlook 2010, is that right?

And also, will the installation allow me to transfer my existing Outlook 2007 settings to Outlook 2010?

Open Word and press File --> Help --> change product key
And put your product key there and activate.

installation smoooooth as ,,,,,

I unninstalled my office 2007 then without a reeboot installed office 2010 64 bit and it picked up all my old settings including my unique locale pst file for my calender and remembered all my settings

so far it looks similar to office 2007 very polished and slick but it is much more responsive and snappy and calender loads much quicker

registering the key was a bit strange where i entered the key and when i clicked complete it went back to the origonal install window, which then ran for a few seconds then confirmed registration, I had to shutdown office and reopen to have the registration show as verified

I have yet to explore the online options

Hmm . . . maybe I should just do the same and uninstall 2007 and install 64 bit version of 2010. Very tempting.

Yes. Keep your .PST in folder outside of C drive and run Outlook from there. You never loose anything that way.

I have downloaded successfully at work but want to install at home. Download Manager won't let me "save" the file, it wants to RUN it...is it possible to Save it, burn it and then install at home?

I installed x64 last night. Did not save anything, just uninstalled 2007 and installed 2010.

All my files and folders present and correct.. Outlook - all my accounts and all my messages, addresses etc. present and correct.

The only hassle I have is the 'Prompt to delete on exit' not working correctly, so have disabled it completely and will do manual deletes if and when I remember.

Where to download Office 2010 Beta's whole installer???
Hi, I was wondering whether it is possible for me to get the whole installer of Office 2010 Beta, not the 2MB size setup that will still require a slow install and download of Office 2010 Beta. I want to download the whole installer even if its 500 MB in size. It says on the download page that,...
