You will upgrade to Windows 10: Inside Microsoft's strong-arm upgrade

Seriously, I do not understand why MS is doing what they are doing. Does their survival depend on how many people they get to run 10? Are they just being draconian because they can be? There's something obviously going on behind the scenes, be it because of potential data gathering revenue or something else that will transpire down the road perhaps.
But MS, you should really think hard about your strong-arm tactics. When you try to sneak in an update any way possible, of course people are going to suspect something and talk. Even if you have nothing to hide, it is inevitable people will wonder what's going on. How can you expect people NOT to wonder with the list of tactics you've used in the past months?
A simple question....why the cloak & dagger about the contents of updates as well as the force fed update to 10? Why not a plain & simple choice of "No Thanks" or "Yes?"
I have 10 on one of my partitions as well as 8.1, and although I use 10 occasionally, I prefer to use 7, that's my choice. Let me have that choice. I paid for 7, let me choose to keep it if I want.
I still wonder... at the time W7 was installed, I've agreed to the EULA then. Now, five-six years later MS changes the EULA and have no choice but to agree to the new one. Not only that, MS keeps bombarding my PC with get W10 now on a way that really resembles malware. Wonder how long before hackers start to use the built-in "get me now or else" subsystem in Windows for spreading their malware?
Yes, Linux can be installed on the same PC, but that's not really an option for me. At least not for the time being...

I thought that was related to local user not machine :/
I have no idea where the BT folder would be but I'm very sure no updates have slipped though
Anything that slipped by was included in some other update.

There is no need to stay offline with Windows7. You just have to control the updates. But using Linux for on-line activities is a godd idea for safety reasons.
