My daughter (office manager) went home on Friday, returned on Monday and the whole office was updated from W7 to W10 (10 machines). Their IT person said "Yep"?? So far, their work has not been effected.
Microsoft's Windows 10 upgrades are getting even more sneaky-pushy - CNETIf you've been deliberately ignoring those upgrade popups, watch out for a new twist they're taking.
Microsoft has a new way of trying to get Windows 10 onto your computer, whether you want it or not.
Users of Windows 7 and 8.1 have become familiar with -- jaded by, even -- the insistent, seemingly daily popups urging them to "Get Windows 10." Those messages have started taking a more aggressive turn.
Instead of simply giving you the option to install its latest operating system (or not), Microsoft now automatically schedules a date and time to update your PC to Windows 10. If you don't want the software update or if you want to change the installation date, you have to take deliberate action: manually click a link in the message, then choose to reschedule it or cancel it altogether.
Kinda sneaky, isn't it? Especially compared with the messages you've been seeing. If you click the OK button, thinking you're just getting rid of the message, the automatic update is scheduled. You'll then find Windows 10 on your PC sometime over the next several days without realizing that you agreed to it.

Hi,
Yea anyone that has had gwx icon on their taskbar for this long definitely wants win-10 so I doubt that qualifies as sneaky
Just another nudge because win-10 was made for them
Win-7 is way too complicated with updating choices :)
My wife works in accounting and with other things does the payroll for a hospital. The software is server based at the vendors site and only a little stub of the program runs on her Windows 7 machine. Like a lot of the newer software replacing some older Windows/DOS based software the accounting package is OS agnostic. The grunt work is even done on the server at the vendors. So you could probably update a lot of companies to Windows 10 or even Linux and they would not notice.
Just realized that, Anniversary Update for W10 will come in July...
And guess what... Microsoft doubled the minimum RAM required for Windows to work.
Is there a valid point that explains why the OS now needs more RAM? It's because of all the app crap all over the OS using more resources? Nono... let me guess... the memory trimming project never worked, right?
No doubt, W7 was the best stuff M$ ever did, now we are back to unnecesary system requirements changes.
Only for 32bit, previous was 1GB now it's 2GB,
Current requirements,
Windows 10 Specifications
Updated requirements,
Minimum hardware requirements
Not that it matters much, but those are still pretty small numbers if you ask me.
This may have been posted elsewhere on the Forums, but I haven't seen it and, it's a good read from fellow SevenForums member Susan Bradley.....
Windows 10 and the forced release

Susan note: I need to get this off of my chest and then I’ll get on with going forward and dealing with the technology we need to deal with in SMB. One of which is handling Windows 10 in our networks.
First and foremost I think Microsoft is being a bully on the Internet. A big bully. The manner in which Windows 10 has been pushed out the patching channel has me seriously questioning if I want to be associated with this Company going forward. I certainly am naïve about the patching practices of this company. A few years ago I would have insisted that Microsoft would never ever allow a patch to be installed without express permission......
