All ie11 does for me is prompt to install this add-on but never does
    Gives microsoft.com has stopped responding
Another great feature or download/ install bug which happens all too often when the word "Update" is associated with anything from M$
Never had any issues installing it myself. Always works for me so not sure what's happening with your PC.

At least they're getting rid of the ActiveX for that site anyway. Let's hope sooner than later.
They should have done that BEFORE they took away the Download Center not after.
I can upload the update for anyone who needs it, but can't do it until tomorrow as I'm away from home and only on a tablet.

Has anybody managed to integrate it into the installtion media? Can't persuade it to integrate here, seems to be something wrong with the xml file.

You are probably better off using simplix

Or you could use wsuss offline WSUS Offline Update - Update Microsoft Windows and Office without an Internet connection

    I don't even get a prompt.

On reflection, I probably can't get any updates from "MUC" (using my W10IP) as MS deactivated it (around b10586).
I'm not giving up my working W7 to test W10 Betas.

That's not very promising, if anyone could I would think you would be the one.

I finally got through I did have to open the link to the site in a new window instead of a new tab as I would normally do
The prompt to enable was already enabled so I still don't understand the constant non responsive microsoft.com message
But in all honesty the retched website is using a page default of ie7 default for goodness sakes lol

But I did finally get a new browser add-on

No problem here, you just need to integrate the prerequisite April 2015 servicing stack update (KB3020369) first.

Like others have posted, I kept getting this message with Win 7 x64 / IE11
To use this Web site's full functionality, you must be running Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or later.

I login with a Standard (Limited) account.
If I start IE with Run as Administrator the Windows Update Catalog works.
I get an EMET warning when opening the Windows Update Catalog as Admin.

I find the instructions on how to merge this with installation media somewhat perplexing....anyone done it?
Can't regular slipstreaming methods be used? If so which one is recommended?

Edit found the instructions here easier to understand and use: Convenience Rollup for Windows 7 SP1 is like Windows 7 SP2
So far so good....I think ;-)

Just tried it. Updated a new W7 VM in about 15 mins instead of the six hours it took me on Tuesday. Ho Hum.
