Is there a reason that the "head over to MS and download this Beta link" keeps bringing me back to this thread, or am I missing something,? Sorry if I am.

I personally feel that MS has woken up from a loong sleep to make Win 7. This OS, does everything automatically when it comes to drivers, which Vista failed. The same logic is being used for Office 2010 too. I was startled to find, that once I upgraded to 2010(which removed my 2007) all my data was intact. Not even a single config I made manually. As well as, 2010 detected my Hotmail account and offered to download the beta outlook connector too. Wonderful MS. Waiting for the full release. I personally like the appearance of outlook and the way all other applications react when we open a email attachment. By default, it opens in protective mode. In order to stop any infection to the computer if any embedded. Gr8 work!!!

As this particular Beta is only 5 days in he wild (officially) I would expect that many add-ins will have issues recognising Office 2010 components.

It may be however a simple case of the add-in not recognising the ID string for 2010 (office 14), as the add-in functionality in office is very similar to that in 2007.

The experience I have had with a particular software synchronising with 2010 was that once the ID string for 2010 was added the software worked flawlessly

I would suggest that those who absolutely must have the interaction between Outlook and a particular add-in wait a while to allow the add-in developers to adjust their product. Of course contacting the developers is an option in some cases - it worked in my case

Some developers will of course state that they do not support Beta software and will not make changes until release date or near to that date
Nigel, please share, what type of software were you able to sync?
