    Hi,
Do the security only update for every month should be fine it's what most of use are doing now anyway
Plus always create a system image Before installing them so if something does go wrong/ bad you can roll back easily

Hello Thrashzone, Thank you for replying. I will give them a go, and like you said I will do a system image
and if anything goes haywire again, I can always go back.:)

These are the only updates I didn`t install, on 3 W7 installs I just did and all is perfect, W7 is once again a joy to install :)

As Mike says, install security updates, but check each and every recommended or so called important update to see if you want or even need it.

Hello AddRAM, I have none of the above installed either. I only have netframework 4.5. If I continue
on with these to 4.6 everything starts slowing down for some reason. I will give the security only updates
a go for October and November, and see how it goes. :)

    Hi,
There is no reason to go to the Optional updates section that is why it is called Optional :)
You can review the news area every month for the security only updates
If you manually install it just right click the one that shows up in the windows update Important section and select hide on it

FYI I don't see this as one that has a security only update offered so it is a skip it for me personally.
