That article is nothing but the "gospel" according to MS. It smells like just another cheap, desperate MS ploy to get people off Win 7 onto Win 10 since Win 10's market share is still half that of Win 7's, even with the sneaky tactics MS has employed to try to trick people onto Win 10.
I've had no problems keeping malware off my Win 7 machines. But, then again, I don't depend on MS updates only to keep my machines clean.
