    Patch Tuesday | March 2017 ?

Update: Microsoft Security Bulletin Summary for March 14th 2017

While waiting for the storm to hit [we might get 8 to 24" ] I was curious if microsoft was gonna have a March 2017 patch Tuesday. That's tomorrow right? So I looked up the security bulletin site and it wasn't there yet, then searched around when I saw this from ed bott's column and it's dated March 3, 2017:

What to expect from the Windows 10 Creators Update
Microsoft is putting the finishing touches on the next big update to Windows 10. Here's what you can expect when the Creators Update begins rolling out to the general public next month......

    ...New update options
One of the biggest changes in this update involves giving more control to users and administrators over how and when updates get installed. That should deal with the all-too-common complaints over forced updates occurring at the worst possible time. After this upgrade, you should see proper notifications when updates are available, along with options to schedule the installation or snooze until you're ready

    Hmm...Next Month? April?

I didn't find anything about win 7. So they're skipping both Win7 and 10 for March also? @ShaWn or anyone hear anything more?

Anyone know when those bulletins come out?

That article completely ignored Win 7 and 8.1 so who knows what will happen with them?

I don't either but I told the wife to expect 'em because she's learning a new laptop, now I'll have to disappoint her.... awww....

Then there's the security angle, any recent nasties about?

    Hi,
Usually the only nasties are the update rollups :)
Otherwise all is good as far as I'm concerned
Heck I still have not done Januaries round lol

Automatic update is for chumps only made more so by the new cumulative model.

I've only ever installed updates selectively, here's one reason why:
