Hi Barman58
By 2012 hopefully I'll be enjoying retirement and using computers will be the LAST thing on my mind.

I'll enjoy the London Olympics -- I unlike the "locals" think the UK will actually put on a good show - although the transport will be even more chaotic and hopeless than it is in London at the moment -

I'm off to the final of that great O2 Tennis tournament in the old "Greenwich Dome" on Sunday -- and you've guessed it - No Jubilee tube "due to Engineering" - and this is almost a brand new line - broken already and the other train alternatives aren't also working - so a week before the Copenhagen talks UK government has been rabitting on about I and a friend have to take an "environmentally unfriendly" taxi both ways.

After the Olympics -- some nice Golf, Whisky, Beer and Beaches. - No more computers - bliss.

Cheers

Hi Zidane24
when you work with them it's nice to not have to deal with them any more at a professional level.

When I'm on vacation I don't even bother with a Mobile any more -- If I have to make an emergency call - and I haven't had to yet -- I can always "buy" a cheap Pay as you go.

If anybody needs me its incumbent on THEM to find ME - I'm not being tethered to THEM like a goat on a piece of string.

People say "How can you manage" without one

Easy -- just go into a typical Restaurant -- look at most of the tables -- how many people do you see fiddling with phones texting / emailing etc even if not actually calling from them.

Meanwhile our party is enjoying the food, wine and conversations.

OT I know - but 2012 -- some peole STILL think its the end of the world so might as well enjoy until then.

Cheers

(Now it's Breakfast time -- that's the only good thing about doing Saturday overtime --love the "English Greasy spoon full breakfasts - hot greasy bacon, eggs etc).

You will have to forgive me but I was a child of the technology surge throughout the 90s and 2000s...

Computer are in my blood...take mine away and it would be like stabbing me in the heart. Same goes since it is my profession also...I wouldn't be caught doing anything else...
