for now we have windows 7... i have barely gotten used to 7 let alone waiting for 8 ;p
The problem is that we are using Windows 7 for nearly a year... so...a new beta is needed for us.Unfortunately I dont have 128 bit laptop yet I think we will get them before beta is released .

You do realize M$ spent a couple hundred thousand on a marketing scheme, paid for all windows XP machines to be sent back to manufacturers from stock so that only vista was a vailable prior to its bugs being worked out when you walked in a store. I'm not sure about your area, but the month after vista was released you couldn't walk in any store and pick up an xp machine for a good while. That's the lesson I talked about. Now you can downgrade all the way back to win 3.11 if you wanted to pursue that option. it was simply a horrible marketing snafu.

As far as my experiance with Vista, I love it; it makes me a ton of money. Thanks M$ for helping share the wealth to the tech from your consumers products. Everyone I know with a vista machine has paid me to work on it, unless they're in the industry themselves.

release date 12/20/12 end of life on the planet 12/21/12.
Lol no But im really excited to see all of the riots and window-smashings ^^
But, isnt 3 years kinda long? Atleast if they're only making "small fixes/add-ons"
ANd btw, there will be NO 128-bit structure, though AMD has a chiip (BullDozer) that can handle, if fully upgraded, to 588-bit. I think its normally a 128-bit chip.
But nvm abt that, Wasnt the "time" problem the issue with MS and Vista, they had set a certain time for Vista, and to meet their schedule, they released it and...boom! Fail. They didnt fully test, nor had the "time" to fix there buggs.
So, if Windows 8 is going to be as big of a re-write as i kinda hope it is, i do hope that they take their sweeet time making it. And im very excited to see how its "futuristic" GUI will be looking. If anyone saw the contest of the Win 8 design on Deviant some of those pages i wouldnt mind as having an os lol.

    Shouldn't it be 512-bit?

Well, I'm still waiting on a Windows 7 update. Maybe Windows 7 Service Pack or maybe even a release 2?
