So does this apply to the "Security Roll-ups" and not to the "Security Only" Updates? Just askin.

This Block apply to both updates and is against the EULA of Win 7

Good news for those with the latest AMD and Intel CPUs, someone has posted a method for thwarting MS' plans.

I received this MS update, KB4015552, this morning April 19, 2017 which mentions MS are working on the AMD CPU problem. This MS website has the info.

Not if anywhere it says Terms and Conditions are Subject to Change.

My only beef is that Microsoft is letting you install Windows 7 on these CPUs, and then won't let you update. I mean, obviously the OS could run on these systems.

    windows updates

Hello Everyone, I am now able to install the monthly roll ups, and have downloaded and installed the April

one, and have had no problems, but now I am wondering as my amd A4-5300 is now over 3 years old,

is it one that Microsoft will still support, or will it be looked at as too old?

1.I dont know how it is in Canada with the Eula, but in Germany it is against the laws to change the eula without agreeing of the user.
2.The i7-7700k and other Kaby Lake Cpus and also Ryzen are x86_64 Cpus like Skylake, Sandy Bridge and compatible to Win 7 /8.1.
The Requirements for Win 7 was an 1GHz or higher x86 or x64 = x86_64 Prozessor
3.They also did this to Win 8.1 which is in Mainstream Support
