The StatCounter Data indicates that W10 has overtaken W7.

Here are the charts from NetMarketShare and StatCounter.
    Note:
If you visit the NetMarketShare site, you'll notice that the info listed in the table does not match the data points on the graph.

I've heard that numbers don't lie. But, sometimes they just don't tell the whole truth.

Those numbers don't tell us how many thousands of millions of people were FORCED into a Windows 10 PC, because their old Windows XP or Windows Vista or Win-7 PC died and they were forced to buy a new PC, with Windows 10 on it.
As a PC tech, of 30+ years, I've been involved in many of those forced upgrades myself. And, I've inherited many of those old PC's that originally came out with Windows XP or Vista or even Win-7 on them.
After some refurbishment, most of them will run Windows 10.
But all that never shows up in the 'Numbers'.

    Just sayin'

I'm not sure how we could ever find that data.

    MS certainly won't release it.
I'm sure they know because the always-on Telemetry in W10 would have told them.

Must admit i take those figures with a pinch of salt

Admitted the "allways on" telemetry within W10 is a factor, but are those figures then passed on to StatData

Would love to see the churn data, w10 >> w7, bet its greater than 10%

I meant MS would know because of the Telemetry.

MS wouldn't share the real numbers with any other businesses/organisations.
