You don't have to install KB4093113. I was just wondering if you noticed the issue with KB408118 started happening after KB4093113 (if installed).

Brink. I installed KB 4093113 yesterday, 18th April & then got notified a bit later of Update KB 4093118, which repeatedly kept notifying to install, even through Update History showed it had installed successfully. Upon checking in Installed Updates & seeing that it was not actually installed, I hid KB 4093118 & I have not received any further notifications for that update.

    Thank you Bligh.

I was thinking KB4093113 may have been the culprit.

On a Windows 7-64 Professional OS, I have the same problem. 4/18/2018, KB4093113 installed, & immediately after that, it suggested installation of KB4093118. WU said it installed, but then it went into that "Loop", repeatedly asking for installation & succeeding, but when performing a search of the installed updates, it is not there. I have hidden the update until such time as someone comes up with a fix.

    Jim,

I see you do have KB4093113 installed, and most likely why KB4093118 kept showing up. Hiding KB4093118 seems to be the best option for now.

If they get superseded by another update, they will usually no longer be available.
