nope! Went yesterday to the Tulsa event. They had drawings, but no windows 7 freebies. Oh well, between that and M$ getting rid of the Family pack, XP shall remain my household OS.

Nope. They had a drawing for a netbook, a laptop a windows 7 book and a couple of xbox games. I even went to all the tables and asked. The answer I got was "you needed to go to the full event, these are just half day hilights. The one for your area was in dallas in November."

Oh well, still learned some cool IT stuff though :)

that sucks, geeve, sorry. Didn't know they had a half-day, no giveaway thing. I went to the event in Dallas, why did they bother with the mini versions? There's some big cities on that list.

I think it was for the IT comunity in those cities crying foul. It was very IT intense and I didn't really get alot of what they were talking about, but alot of the folks there were into it. I learned some cool stuff, but for the most part was lost in a technical jargan trance...lol
