This is because they are adding a pay-for browser...

I've switched to Waterfox some time last year, as soon as they went ahead with the uncalled-for changes post-v56. It has the classic addons and everything and if you don't like the icon you can change it back, i'm using the classic Waterfox icon myself. The memory management could use a lot of work still (plus there's some annoying persisting bugs popping up every now and then that have been there for ages apparently) but other than that it's pretty much the perfect browser imo
Firefox really underperforms these days too.

Attractive and elegant appearance. It is already becoming the favorite of many. Google Chrome more tabs more consumption of RAM, Firefox is implementing not consume as much RAM.

It's a whole new world of pay to play out there and a charge for this and a charged for that.

I use Pale Moon myself. Used to be a long time user of Firefox dating back to Phoenix and the Mozilla suite. Before that it was Netscape.
