    IMPORTANT Verify that you have installed the recommended updates listed in the How to get this update section before installing this update. For all updates starting with August 13, 2019, we strongly recommend that you install these updates to prevent any issues.

    Improvements and fixes

    This security update includes improvements and fixes that were a part of update KB4512514 (released August 17, 2019) and addresses the following issues:

    • Provides protections against a new subclass of speculative execution side-channel vulnerabilities, known as Microarchitectural Data Sampling, for 32-Bit (x86) versions of Windows (CVE-2019-11091,CVE-2018-12126, CVE-2018-12127, CVE-2018-12130). Use the registry settings as described in the Windows Client and Windows Server articles. (These registry settings are enabled by default for Windows Client OS editions and Windows Server OS editions.)
    • Security updates to Windows App Platform and Frameworks, Windows Input and Composition, Windows Media, Windows Fundamentals, Windows Kernel, Windows Authentication, Windows Datacenter Networking, Windows Storage and Filesystems, the Microsoft JET Database Engine, Windows Server, and the Microsoft Scripting Engine.

    I didn't see one, but you can still manually download and install the latest 5.76 version below from Microsoft.

    Check you have these two updates installed before installing the Rollup:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/...support-update

    Make sure that the SHA-2 update is the latest version (Sept 2019, it will say v3 in the file name) before installing. As older versions caused boot issues on some systems.
