Windows 7 File Sharing Tool Released

Windows 7 File Sharing Tool Released

    Posted: 18 Feb 2009
In the latest sign that Windows 7 may be completed sooner rather than later, Microsoft has released a trial version of software that will allow users of its next operating system to securely share files with other PCs they own or with computers used by friends, family, or business associates.
Windows Live ID Sign-in Assistant 6.5 beta links users' Windows Live IDs with their Windows 7 user account, creating a secure connection between hard-drive resident files and data stored online in Windows Live.

I knew there was a dialog that was updated in 7022 that I missed reporting!

In 7000 the "Add an online provider" was just a small hyperlink style item that linked to the generic Windows 7 page at Microsoft.com.

In 7022 is appears as above and last time I checked a week ago went to the same generic page. Now it works!

Can someone see if this works in 7000 too please?

I seen this coming with the linkage of email addys in live, i think it was where i seen first glimpses of this "linkage".... Seems as tho this is in 7000, just somewhere else, without the "ease of use" prompts and dialogue box..... or maybe i just had a weird dream.... only on first cup of joe right now, lol

If its for sharing files with other LiveID users then how do we use it once our IDs are Linked under our User Account...

I dont see any additions or ways of "Sharing Files between users" as it claims..other then the menu in User Accounts
