If I still updated Windows 7, I might consider giving the Bypass a go, although I'd be weary about it screwing up any of my legit licences. I don't really know that much about how it works.
But, after numerous issues with updates last year, I just gave up installing them. The only thing I update now is a couple of VMs. I'm not too bothered if they bork up, as I can just quickly rollback the snapshots anyway.
Foolhardy? Probably! But that's my problem, and I'll deal with it if sh** happens. I just don't have the patience to sort out MS dodgy updates these days. Every month brings new problems. I have a lot of layers of protection and keep those up to date. Plus numerous backups in different locations, so I'm well covered. If my PC boots these days, I consider it a win!
This has worked fine for me after doing a clean install of Windows 7 Pro SP1 64-bit and getting it completely up-to-date to its official "end of life", including the January 2020 SSU update(KB4536952):
1. Run option #1 of the BypassESU v5 tool
2. Install the February 2020 IE11 update(KB4537767) - updates it to 11.0.175
3. Install the February 2020 SMQR update(KB4537820)
4. Install the February 2020 SSU update(KB4537829)
5. Install the March 2020 IE11 update(KB4540671) - updates it to 11.0.180
6. Install the March 2020 SMQR update(KB4540688)
7. Install the March 2020 SSU(KB4550735)
Make sure to stop the Windows Update service from running before doing each step.
Make sure to restart the computer after completing each step.
I wonder if the bypass is only for US country or English version of the OS. I tried both method which resulted to "temporary profile" login, so that means not usable at all...
I've installed it in 3 of my Virtual machines and it has worked on all of them. Although mine are all the EN-GB version. I can't see any reason why it wouldn't work on non-English versions though. There are people posting on the MDL forum from many different non-English speaking countries and it works for them.
I'd recommend posting on that forum and asking about it, maybe they can sort it out for you. All I can say is it definitely works on all the VMs I've tried it on.
