End of an era - Internet Explorer is now officially dead

IE shouldn't be used anymore in my opinion. I'm not too thrilled about edge, especially since they went down the Chrome based path, but it is almost 9 years old and as stated discontinued by some popular sites.

Damn near all browsers now-a-days are using Chromium as their base. Without typing a huge blog post (as I do), Google is taking over the Internet one bit of code at a time. A lot of websites are using Google Web Components and whatnot and damn near all websites depend on Google search ranking commonly called SEO (Search Engine Optimization). This, combined with web developers using Google analytics. All this makes for the perfect storm for absolute control. And that's just Google! Never mind Facebook or Oracle. There's so much BS going on today most people who are not very computer literate or don't really stay abreast of what's going on have no idea.

In a nutshell, technology by in large is getting a lot smarter and it's being used to the nth degree possible to maximize profits and rip privacy away from everyone. Let me tell you something. One day your very touch will be able to interact with things. It'll be a whole new line in IoT (Internet of Things). Last I heard Disney was working on this technology. This is the same technology that will one day rat any wireless device you use out due to RF fingerprinting. Anyway...

As I sit here eating a delicious milk chocolate Cadbury candy bar, I still think Cadbury makes better chocolate. Why Hersey was able to win that lawsuit here in the U.S. and make Cadbury bars I don't know. Due to our DOJ and all that crap, I imagine it was backroom deals and money talks, BS walks. Same with the pharmaceuticals that keep all of the BS media on the air... "Take this pill for this and that. Side effects may lead to the overwhelming desire to sniff your carpet and Tweet your BS about the media we fund. "

Edit again, LOL! Yeah, what was said in that article is true, and I'm not even British! Was born in Illinois FFS. There is a slightly different taste to the Hershey made Cadbury bar and now that I think of it, Hersey kisses do smell like stinky feet. Never really thought of it that way, but that's what it kinda smells like I guess. Being used to that candy it's no wonder. LOL

Anyway... LOL I'm just rolling this altogether about Chrome | Google and antitrust BS. LOL!

I wasn't worried about I.E. getting old, till a website I wanted to go to informed me that they no longer will work with I.E.
So, I just downloaded "Edge" and installed it, and no more problems. Right out of the box, Edge is pretty lame, but it can be tweaked and tuned to be much more user friendly. I'm growing accustomed to it. But like I.E. it will never be my favorite.

Since ver. 1.0, Firefox has been my favorite, and Default browser.
