@ 1:48 LOL!!!!!
Is it me, or does she seem to not have a scooby?

It's also quite fascinating to learn exactly how much work & thought goes into making a seemingly simple part of the Windows 7 UI.

I didn't care much for the end result as far as the wallpaper itself. But if you watch the entire video you can one view of a more vibrant color contrast that would have been great along with the logo for the finish.

That were it was being explained how the colors were coming together but the darker contrast was also being seen. Here I generally select a darker background simply to illustrate things against or to reduce glare at times especially if you spend enough time at the machine itself.

Win7 Startup Animation looks clean and neat

And i think they took the inspiration from Sony Ericsson's startup animation (Or SE's Walkman line of phones startup animation), just the inspiration, nothing big!

The logo itself came out like 4 corners of the globe or 4 seasons(spring, summer, fall, winter) depending on how you look at that part of it. The background seems a bit drab however. That's where the beta screen's backdrop was a bit more vibrant color wise even though everyone soon got sick of looking at the beta fish!

I would of loved that fish wallpaper...if not for the pun

Beta Fish - Beta Software

Once it hit me (10 seconds after the first install of the beta ) I couldn't stand it no longer

Just think, you no longer have to worry about that with 7 any longer! If you look through a few of the sub folders in the Windows directory you can even find some hidden themes tucked away there.

The task they worked with however was to come up with new look for the final product in several stages. You take a little of something from each to apply to the finish. For most however that doesn't stay on long before a new wallpaper or theme is applied while they still need something there besides a blank screen when you first reach a new desktop.
