Great. Apple programs are software stalkers. Once you meet them they won't leave you alone.

Well in the final analysis? There won't be any more "rotten apple" in the barrel! Does that mean I won't be prompted every 2 days to update to the latest version?

Quicktime pretty much takes over your computer IMO it's worse than any spyware, trojen,or virus thats even been in exsistance. It's very obvious that Apple was jealous of Msoft's popularity so to that end they make software that pretty much ruins your windows user experiance once installed.. Pathatic really.

now there's ITunes ... a mountain to climb, but I'm sure, it can be overcome.

    Windows 7 release date is 11/10/09 , what's the over/under? What's your guess?

When MS actually announces their intended release date that's when I'll be placing the bulk order! First we'll have to see some of the improvements and enhancements to be seen in the RC releases there however.

    WMP 12 fixed
increased number of shortcuts on new taskbar
    new enhancements for main gui
and the list goes on at Engineering Windows 7 : Some Changes Since Beta for the RC

Now, they only have to put Matroska compatibility and put some by default installed codecs like MPEG-4, XVid, x264 and Real Media compatibility and almost everything will be playable from the beginning.

Oh yes! Multi-audio and multi-subtitle compatibility plzkthx

Mov support being seen in WMP 12 will be a big thing noticed right away. The no longer any QT required elements for certain things in Windows making Appleotosis a thing of the past!

Yay! MS is really making some good moves with W7. I hope they stay on the right track for what the users want. I'm glad I'm not the only one that absolutely hates quicktime.
