I think most of us can readily agree one H of a job has already been seen with 7 so far! Originally 7 was timeframed for Q1 2010 however and has already been pushed forward to October due to the slumped economy. MS wanted 7 available in time for the holiday season when people "would be" making decisions and spending not afterwards where everyone was recouping!

MS won't since that was "their own" promotional discount being seen on preorders in order to encourage(or entice) people into the Home Premium and Professional upgrade disks. Individual retailers may have their own discounts simply to compete with other retailers apart from any MS offers.
