I had an older version of Chrome on my 7000 install & it seemed to be fine but the newest version does not like to play nice with 7.

Are you limited to the Google search engine in Chrome? I still have the 7000 build on and running strong here for the time being.

Yes i know i can turn it off. But can i then install this version of IE8 that just came out? That was my point. Im using IE8 i think it is the second best browser after chrome, but chrome doesn't work on 7, too bad...

The Turn off feature does not totally ripp off the soft.
    Some executable/process stay for dependencies.

Google Chrome is on 7 now and it wasn't any beta. In fact I still have to look at the beta link on the page seen at Google Chrome - Download a new browser

IE8 is already in Build 7057 so what's the rush if you have this build installed.
