    Windows 7 SP1 Screenshots Emerge

    Posted: 18 Jan 2010
    When it comes to the evolution of Windows Vista's successor, Microsoft is as silent as it has always been with the products that haven't been officially unveiled. We're all aware of the work on a soon-to-arrive Service Pack 1 for Windows 7, but the few details emerged on the new flavor of Microsoft's client arrived from third-parties, and not from the software giant itself. Even so, these various sources have pointed not too long ago towards the possibility that the first external test builds of Windows 7 SP1 will be delivered very soon, and it seems that this will pan out earlier than expected.

    Translating the similar post from our friends at WZor states the following...

    Windows 7 SP1 Schedule

    Internal BETA/Escrow - JAN 2010
    BETA delivered to partners - Late MAR 2010
    Public BETA - Late APR 2010
    FINAL RELEASE for Partners - OCT 2010
    Public FINAL RELEASE - NOV 2010

    Current SP1 Build Number 7693
    Expected SP1 Build Number: 7700.xxx->
    Approx. 1 build every two days

    ...and another surprise(shouldn't be unexpected)...Windows 7 Service Pack 2 is in development with major progress starting in OCT 2010

    ...though this info remains unconfirmed (as always)...WZor was an extremely trustworthy source during the BETA phase of Win7 so take that into consideration

    Hi all
    What's Broken ?.

    OK might be some new drivers but that should work via Windows update anyway.

    All my machines are running W7 just fine.

    Cheers
