    Hi Solor

    Missed you

Any early W8 builds going the "hit the wild" soon.

I'm getting "Withdrawl Symptoms" -- W7 is working TOO well -- no BSOD's etc etc.

    Cheers

Windows 7 SP1 Beta Builds Escrow and pre-Escrow - Beta in April, Release in November, claims third-party source - Softpedia

The leaked information on Windows 7 Service Pack 1 Build 7600.20588 that surfaced at the end of last week confirms the first service pack for the latest iteration of the Windows client is advancing in the development process, even though Microsoft is not yet ready to breathe a single word on the progress it’s making with SP1. Reports indicate that Microsoft is gearing up to release a demo version of Windows 7 SP1 to a select pool of testers in the coming weeks. The leaked screenshots of the preview demo build of Windows 7 SP1 certainly validates claims of the Redmond company kicking off external testing of the first service pack for Windows Vista’s successor.
According to MuyWindows, the current Builds of Windows 7 SP1 for the demo versions sit between 7600.20500 and 7600.20,700.

I can think of a couple things that are VERY VERY broken.

    File Explorer
    Windows Media Center.

File Explorer takes forever and a day to create new folders on some machines, forum posts here and other places are evidence.

    Windows Media Center. It's AFU.

It will be a combination of all the updates so far plus new fixes introduced through the SP and maybe a couple of new features...

All in all it shouldn't be a big ordeal which is typical of a first SP of an OS. I would look onwards to SP2 for the big changes
