Why there's no 64-bit Silverlight from Microsoft

Adobe came out with a 64-bit Flash Player. HTML5 actually has some serious competition now. Although yeah, I don't see Microsoft making a 64-bit Silverlight anytime soon since it's been pretty obvious in the past few months that they've been secretly working with Adobe (I don't care how much Microsoft and Adobe deny it - having IE9 and Flash x64 release on the same day is all the evidence I need).

Personally, I promote 64-bit software for the advancement of technology. I don't want the world to continue using technology that was developed over a decade ago (in the technological world, a decade is a long time). There is also an improvement in performance when using 64-bit software and no matter how small the improvement is, I want to take advantage of it.

+1....Now that i'm on x64 -bit system and would probaly stay for a while, i really want some of my softwares being entirely x64bits made...not only that x32 softwares compatible x64 OS platforms!:)
Gain of space, probably not actualy, but i can tell annoyed i'm that some manufacturers public said that they would not change their main software (some photo editors mfg) for x64 bits. That means if you want to use heavy loaded pictures, for exemple and not crash, "go on x32bits and use our plugins"....
