I liked home networking feature. It is simply just share your folder and then you can access your folders very easily on another computer on same network. Another feature i liked was Windows Remote assistance "easy access" thing. I help my friends with their computer issue and easy access is dream to easily connect with their computers remotely.. overall I like win 7 less use of HD space and overall performance and reliability.

    Whats wrong about Win 7

    Well nothing.
    I've moved from XP.
After a short time getting used to it I now find the features enjoyable and really useful.
The systems is so very stable and self correcting.
    Its a pleasure

Clearly you guys don't use Windows 7 for business, compatibility issues are a huge issue, no quickbooks, no drivers for office equipment, we have lost, scanner, fax and many other functions.

It may be great for the teck quys but it is a nightmare for basic users.

Would gladly go back to Vista so some of my equipment would work again.

This OS should never been released until drivers were available and compatibility issues resolved.

Microsoft came out with a great PRE-Install program to see if your computer and other hardware was compatible before you install. Too bad many never used it or just thought Win7 would use old drivers. LOL

Well the OS is rock solid if you know how to setup your hardware drivers. Most don't
Quick on startup and shutdowns. Easy to configure for networking similiar systems.
Revitalized the Microsoft logo with a well thought out OS, finally.
Has great built in tools that can help the novice find the problems.

On a similiar note MS Secuirty Essentials is another great program.

    WIN 7 Drivers

Modern peripherals (by recognized providers eg HP) provide win 7 driver updates on their site. Thats where I got mine for our printer.

Old hardware can be run in the virtual machine as an option

    Help on Clean Install

I did the clean install and am now reloading software and files.

All the old stuff is in a file called windows.old

Reloaded Quickbooks, question is how to I transfer data to the clean version?

Assume I will have same problem with other files?

    Some help please.

    Thanks,
      My Computer
