    Thanks Gary,

This should have been automatically downloaded for anyone running FF3 last week unless you have auto updates switched off - which is fine BTW, not having a go :)

    Your welcome, jfar.

    Hi Nigel,

I got a little popup in the notification area this morning. It may have been there before and I didn't notice. I generally turn auto updates off.

    Hi Gary,

I have all mine set to inform but don't download without me agreeing - best of both worlds, I can check out any potential issues but still have all the latest patches available :)

Actually I have Windows update set to inform, but let me decide. Avast definitions are auto. The rest I don't worry much about.

Oh yes, my Avast is automatic but with the volume set to a bearable level, still makes me jump if I'm deep into whatever I'm doing though .

As for general policy with updates I follow a routine that I've been using for years.

One thing from working with servers that I've found useful in these days of leaving machines on 24/7 is I always reboot the machine before I install anything major. That way you know if you can't boot after the install it's definitely caused by the update, and not something I tweaked a week ago :). I always re-boot after a major install even if it's not requested for the same reason

I don't usually leave my comp on 24/7, but good idea to reboot before installing if you do. I usually reboot after anything major also, just to be sure.

I was going to put it up the other day but because its been out for a while I thought it might of already been up. Assumption is the mother of all .....................I know. Not been using FF for a while now as I've took to chrome 2. I did test it though and still don't think It has gained much ground in terms of speed.

On another note does anybody know what my problem is with regards to this

    Fifa 09 Graphics Error

Sorry if its a bit off topic lads. My bad
