I upgraded 7057 to 7077 and it only went smoother and made things much better. As for vista...no clue.

In another thread I mentioned that they are considering changing the thumbnail previews; they may leave Dreamscene out; some have mentioned they have removed the shuffle desktop wallpaper, etc.

I'm just mentioning some rumored changes. We'll have to wait for RC to see what they have decided.

Now why would they want to do that?.. that would be almost ruining a lot of what makes 7 so much different than vista..

This imyfirst experience in testing a major operating system. I am jus so confusd about the leaks (I am running 7077), are they legal, are they legitimate...etc etc.

They keep saying that 7106, supposedly RC1, is about to be released. How can this be,given that the RC is not officially due till May.

I have decided not to do anymore updates and sit on 7077 till May. I don;t want some Chinese version or some pirated version that has some kind of bomb built in.

    All of this IMHO.
The facts are that MS is well aware of the leaks but will only offer support of any type for the 7000 builds until releasing the actual RC1! As for the alleged 7106 everyone has been ranting about for the last 2 days the Russians just translated that into English and stuck on some of the usual torrent sites. That's at the 49.2% mark being given a fast look here for the 32bit build to see if that is anything more then a fake!

Yeah too bad it's not 100% english. At least it has english in it, which is why I'm downloading it myself and also because I want to see what exactly they did to the ISO.

Well as it turns out that is also the Chinese simplified translated into English not Russian into English being seen. The information at the torrent site was way off! I have to reboot in order to see the installation finish to see if there any other things that should be cautioned on. The only thing not seen in English for reference is the license agreement still in Chinese.

How are these being leaked in other languages? I figured the leaks would only be coming from the U.S. offices of Microsoft.
