    Hi there
Nice perspective but not really valid in all jursidictions.

We might have got our banks and government screwed up but at least we have non-carbon green energy a-plenty (thermal, hydro etc ).

Now if instead of sending billions of Euros on Banks some subsidy could be given to building a 1600 KM undersea electricity grid to N. Scotland / Fareoes we could supply CHEAP energy to UK and EU so BOTH MACS and PC's could use Green Power at will.

(Would also in these times create loads of REAL Long lasting jobs too).

I liked the analysis however -- well done.

    Cheers
    and happy Easter Hols.

Just on Tuesday I installed Vista on a MacBookPro 17 to dual boot with Mac Os X - the person that requested it wants to eventually use it solely for Windows 7, but wants to know a bit about Vista as well.

That is what I call open minded.
I'm a dual supporter too and yes. There is still an apple tax but don't let apples growth fool you. It's mostly iPhones and MacBooks with some iMacs. The days of status ate somewhat over. A few years ago Apple Pro care and One to One training were bundled as ine package for $99 and they would teach you logic, final cut, shake etc. Today you'll bw lucky to find a trainer that knows logic as it's all about iLife. The pros are still out there and I am one of them. That said Apple
goes out of there way to stiffle anything that has great gpu to also have express slots or FireWire and desktops are made out of server parts. They could make an i7 machine, headless, support many cards and then grab the Prosumer but they don't. They couldncare less. That's why I always advise osx86 and for $800'younhave a machine that thanks to the bios and overclocking, you can still run osx if you want and run circles around their over built towers.
The thing though is iMovie 08/09 or pages you can so amazing things on. I had the adobe suite just for indesing newsletters then I discovered pages and didn't need clunky indesign anymore. Wheras on word, I remember trying to add say a photo and the text would suddenly dissapear. Lol. Not that way any more but new word is slow running and for the life oglf me, wht cant msft figure out iLife????????

Are avid or final cut is pro but you can so amazing things FAST with iLife or iWork. Tascam dumped gigastudio. Whybdidnt msft by it. Why didn't they buybsonic foundry instead of Sony for acid and Vegas? Can it really be that hard to put a team together that focueses on creative music and graphics??? I just hope the courier is real and msft only as if it is, it will mark the first ever msft pc owned and controlled amd we can hope that in time come the creative software titles unlike, songsmith. No comment.

Please let the courier be real and not oem and 100% controlled by msft as thisnwould be huge for students, business and perhaps artists, especially if you can sync iTunes iPhones with it as msft could always dangle the end of office if Apple becomes uncooperative.

    Later.
