How about CSS3 support? Does it display text shadows, border rounded corners and alpha channel (rgba()?
Download it and see for yourself, there is CSS3 support and you can test it in the testdrive.
Or hit Page > Open and goto another site

    Hi BugMeister
    Here's a Bug for you

    It doesn't render FLASH properly

Look at the 2 pics from the BBC's home page : ist pic is the page rendered via IE9 preview, 2nd pic is the page rendered by (32 bit) IE8.

The IE9 preview is missing the little square clock on the big orange BBC title bar.

    Cheers

What you expected everything working 100%? \

Flash rendering bugs are Adobe's responsibility.

    Hi dmex
Since many many sites use flash one wants to see how IE9 will render them.

IE9 won't be very popular if 60% of sites are rendered incompletely -- I agree that maybe another standard for a "flash look alike" needs to be implemented but saying that Flash is adobe's responsibility when it's the "de-facto" standard is a bit like saying to a 3rd party developer - My software doesn't work because the NTFS file system is Microsoft's responsibilty.

MS have flash working with IE8 so they know where the hooks are and can insert code to work with it of course.

    Cheers

So when the next version of Windows comes out and the programs I develop don't work, Microsoft should fix them all for me and do it for free because they know what was changed?

I think that there is a current problem with anything that is released by Microsoft as a pre-beta/Tech preview, and that is that it will be compared to win7, which was so "complete" and stable from the outset.

The lack of support for industry standards is a shame but at this stage of development should be expected, I's just that win7 spoiled us :)

IE's build tag usually matches the host operating system...

    Windows 7 RTM: 6.1.7600.16385.090713-1255

    IE8: 8.0.7600.16385
    IE9: 9.0.7745.6019

I can only assume Windows builds have been progressing :)
Do you think Build 7745 could be SP1?

The IE 9 Preview is just that simply a look at a "new look" without the functionality at this point. I wouldn't expect to see a working beta for another several months at least!

When you click the shortcut the installer places on your desktop this is precisely what you see.

SP1 will have an even later build number, This is just the build of Win7 their using internally with all the patches and improvements to date since RTM that will be included with SP1
