    Yes it is a law
    Yes you are violating it

See now that sort of comment is why the internet is getting in a mess. Your compaing TPB to all sorts of nastys that float the net searching for prey. You have a choice. If you dont file share thats your choice, no-one is forcing you too. And is mearly providing links a crime? If so then why are the millions of people trying to email you to get money. Why are they no prosicuted? And as far as law is concerned, lets face it THAT law was brought into effect only to get PB owners. Nothing more. And your telling me that you have never ONCE downloaded something you shouldnt have? Cos i would bet my house you have.

Agreed, you do have a point. I have my own reasons for my argument against this but still....

They can't shut the site by law, so how can they justify a prison sentance...

No offence to anybody here from usa but it seems to me they make up laws and assume they are international... they are not.

The only point i think i missed was the one you made about generalizing them with common thiefs etc...

C'Mon ppl, you and i both know they saw a way to attract massive traffic, make some cash, they don't seriously want to support piracy, they may of been jailed but im still sure they are laughing a lot knowing the profit is still rolling in while you guys (via tax) pay for thier accomadation, food, and further education for the next six months lolz.,..

    Sorry, but its true

my point mate which i probably worded bad was in that thiefs etc.. all knowingly do what they do. ( and before anyone flames me for saying that, well damoh you know people have mental illnesses and such) Im not saying that TPB knowingly allowed copyrighted links on there servers. Come on lets face it they did know, how could they not? But the actual policing of said links becomes something more. Imagine how hard it would be for them to do that? This arguement can lead to a whole different ball game. Eg.. if you leave trialware on for more then 30 days and still use it are you now breaking the law? Winrar anyone?
Its a fine line, a very fine line, as i stand by my previous post that TPB was made an example off. Dont get me wrong, i dont have a hdd full of films. And i will admit to downloading a film, but does that make me a bad person? The film in question i enjoyed a lot so i bought the DVD. Does that clear my sin? Perhaps not, but im no thief or murderer. That i can assure you.

Agreed, but it was the fineline/loopholes, that they were/are playing on, they themselfs are not doing much wrong other than failing to delete links to copyright material from thier site. But maybe next year it will be illegal to be lazy also, who knows... lol
