I just can't fathom the difference between giving them now and us in 3 weeks. I would prefer to get it off Microsoft as I'm sure Microsoft do, but they should know that the majority will get it any which way. Just why are they screwing with our heads in this torturous way, lets have them before the mind games council and see what they have to say for themselves.

I think we're losing track of this thread again

Any more news on Windows 7 RC anyone?
At this point this thread is so unnecessarily long and off track that it isn't doing anymore good as an information source.

WHEN the Release Candidate does come out, this thread will be of no service because it has become annoying.

Might be time to put this puppy down for it's own good.

I like both. I think we all expect a bit too much when a new build comes out. Nevertheless I enjoy do fresh installs anyway so I feel more at home when new builds DO come out.

I've spent years doing fresh installs. I reinstall my system every 6 months just to keep it 100% tip top LOL

its fun to install and its fun to see what works and what doesn't, I noticed somethings working in 77 that didn't work right in 68 or what ever version I was using before.

not to jump of topic but I was a fanboy of Apple, I started in 95 with windows and finally have a MS OS that I like with windows 7, not sure I like the networking stuff changed from vista but I don't have a second machine ATM so it could be good. anyway med time and will post what my contact says about RC as soon as he get back to me. and I am not pulling anyones leg with my info, I worked with the Department of Homeland Security and have contacts with most major software companies which have become friends and they still leak info to me when they can, my MS friend will give me info to post here if he can get it but he isn't involved with the OS directly but his job does give him access to most of the computers in the OS department. He was also the guy who sent me here so I think he might be a member and if he is and is reading this sorry if you wanted to stay hidden.

Yes I agree 100%. No matter what registry cleaners or the like that you have there is nothing quite like a fresh install. It reaches the parts other utilities cannot reach. It's like getting out of the shower after a hard days graft.

I also re-install every 6 months. Every OS, even Apple's, suffers performance hits over time.

    Clean installs are the best.
