RC is a release candidate before the final release.

Maybe it's time to close it.

I think we are all agreed that the LATEST EASILY AVAILABLE build is the 7077 in both X-64 and X-86 versions.

Other builds might be in "The Lab" or "In the imagination" but until something definitive comes from our usually GOOD sources then it really IS time to put this to bed.

When RC is installed on your machines are you still going to be in "Feeding Frenzy mode" to try and hunt down every possible RTM build.

That will be a Nightmare -- imagine downloading and installing builds every 10 days or so for MORE THAN A YEAR.

gaar yes close it. every time i come to the homepage this is at the top of the list, and i just have to check it to see if anything has happened yet, but it's always just a bunch of silly banter.

leak, damn it! i've got everything ready for a fresh install. i'm gonna lose the nerve if it doesn't happen soon :)

I find this thread quite entertaining and even informative in places...

7088 = possible RC, they stoped developing RC branch.

ofc i cant say for sure, but 7088 is already 3 days old, while there are already new builds from this week in RTM branch and no new build in win7rc branch :)
