I understand that folks need to buy into the smaller SSDs in order for the larger ones to eventually come out...but how can you live with such a small hard drive?
You install the OS and important applications etc on the SSD, less so apps, eg pictures etc on another hard drive.

I agree with DaveTaylor, and drive partioning is the way to go. Especially with constant releases, it helps to have a 'test' partition for leaked builds, a 'data' partition for movies and pictures etc, a 3rd partition for your actual currently working build (at this time 7077), and a 4th partition for XP or Vista.

Get crazy, make a billion partitions....

    Who knows?

All they said was that they planned to release Vista SP2 RTM before the final release of Windows 7 RTM.
It's been out if you know where to look.

well its first build made on sunday, but it was definatly made that day. Thing is they are basically finished with it, so some uncommon build dates can happen. Im also sure if 7088 will infact be final it will be renumbered in to 7100 on 26th (or 27th) when they have scheduled engeneering signoff of RC. So _might_ (dont hold me on this, its just guessing) end up with 7100.0.winmain_win7rc.090426-xxxx or something that will in fact be 7088 build.
I agree with that assessment at this point or until something new breaks. ATM, TechNet, MSDN and first level partners can not get the RC since it has not been agreed as to whether 7088 will be RC and re-branded 7100. TAP Gold, internal and select private testers have all the builds including 7088 and 7115. They will not leak until things are settled, you can bet on that.

I hope TechNet and MSDN will get the final RC (build 7100) on the 27th or shortly thereafter. It will probably leak then and the public should be able to download it on May 5th or they might hold off until TechEd 2009 convention May 11th to May15th. Nothing is set in stone at this point.

Basically they are saying that they will be giving out limited amounts of Windows 7 RC 32Bit DVDs to the chosen members for free when the RC is released..
