Went the CCCleaner route and got it installed and activated no problem.

I got rid of everything just fine with Revo free version - found the most uninstalled registry items I've ever seen. I think it was 19,000, don't think it went beyond 20,000. I was watching a movie at the time and stopped paying attention at 15,000.

Revo gets rid of all Adobe CS4 crap, too. (That held the registry record before Office Beta.)

As a precaution, I've got Everything and sometimes I'll have to manually delete a few files if Revo doesn't scrape them out. But that's rare. Tried the pro version when it came out, didn't like it because it listed way too many irrelevant items.

Did you try the Rip Out Office program?

    Yup.

The good news is that Office 2007 installs fine, so I can still work.

But I would really like to get it installed.

Man, that sucks. MS really needs to work on these uninstall problems. Have you tried manually removing the registry entries? Is it throwing up a specific error code?

Not sure where those entries are (tried CCLeaner).
It says that it did not uninstall completely, and I cannot install the RTM either because there is still something left over.

Hey, would you kindly please put some Screenshots, about the build number, just to be on the safe side.

Is to see if my friend installed me the correct version or not.
