    They're greyed out because you have to have a paid subscription to technet to get this d/l. It's not free. You have to wait until May 5th.

    If you don't have the $349- oaid subscription allowing you to try out various other MS products while those are still in beta form that entire page will see nothing but greyed out links. May 5th will see that change for those who were simply signed for testing the 7000 builds back in January by signing in with your live id probably late afternoon Redding time.

    What image was that swarfega?

    Well the paid subscriptions allows you to try out quite a bit more then just 7. You get to look over quite a bit of the entire MS software line like office products that will tend to interest those with home businesses and other things there. For them it's worth every penny.

    As for tuesday likely late day simply count not too many days left on the calendar! That will be availble for a month to handle all of the traffic you can expect to see!

    @Night Hawk,
    Well said. TechNet or MSDN is a good value for sure. We will also get to download the RTM and GA versions when they come out with our "paid" membership. And get the new keys at that time.

    The beta keys from 7000 will activate all builds through current, including 7100. Millions are sharing a small set of public keys since the beta release and they continue to work with the RC.

    Paid subscriber's were issued keys designated for our subscriptions through TechNet and MSDN, which are completely different from the public keys. I have five unique keys for both architectures that I use.

    The RTM release will require new keys and the public keys will no longer work.

    Anyone can get the public keys for the RC at the following link if you have a Live Id, Passport Id or Hotmail Id.
    The RC 7100 build will expire in June 2010 but will begin reduced functionallity in March 2010.

    wow, so let me make sure I'm reading this correctly and understand - the cost of a TechNet Plus Direct subscription (downloads only) is $349. When Windows 7 is on the shelves I'm guessing it's gonna be something like $200-$300, depending on the version. But if you're a Technet Plus subscriber, that 7 cost is actually included with the membership?
