No that won't cover the retail costs of 7 once out. What that membership there allows is trying out a long list of beta to RC versions of the various other MS softwares. Correct. And you get to download and use anything MSFT has and the products don't expire. The license allows you run anything on up to 10 computers for each product. To get new stuff that comes out you have to renew each year. You get other benefits too but I am not benefiting by helping them sell this, so I will end there. Check out the web site. :)
When Beta was first released, M$ was giving out unique keys until their servers were overloaded, then they decided to make a handful of generic keys for everyone to use.
If you do not believe me go ahead and google search (already done just click) the partial key that is shown in his screen shot earlier (page 13) in this thread. F2MC6 vs a partial from a generic key I use KW6KY

You can see from these alone that the subscription offers quite a bit leaning a bit more towards the office products as well as server type. But all this should cover quite a few questions.

The official RC is exactly the same as the leaked 7100 that's been out much longer than 2 days. Hashes match and all.
