At least Colonel Travis is onto something there like I was trying to get across before about never putting any full confidence in any leaks. The 7100s seen right before 4/25 were obviously polluted with something while the hour plus scan now on the x86 has so far come up negative for bugs.
Well, I've been seen sick with flu and sleeping a lot but it appears I missed some discussion of which I am quite happy I did miss. I like this board the way it is and I will always have respect for everyone that posts here.

I STILL haven't been able to D/L it from the Technet site! ANyone know where else? An ftp maybe? I don't want the leaked version... I saw it upped on Demonoid five minutes after I got there... only one seeding it, though. "2 weeks, 3 days, 21 hours...' lol
You won't be able to until the public release on tuesday if you don't have a paid subscription or working through an MS partnership. Without either the links will remain greyed out until then. From that point you know the servers will be taxed!
As far as other places no one can post any links except for the nearest search engine. Then you risk the chance of getting into something you won't want! One old expression still seems to apply. "Haste makes Waste!"
In other words most waiting now will be downloading their copies in under 2 days time without being worried about where those are coming from but simply how will it take to complete the downloads!
I'm sick of people wondering where to get the RC. Just send me a pm and I'll pm you a link to a torrent with the official RC. I know it's really hard to google it, but I'm willing to PM every person a link to the torrent. Maybe we'll avoid having this conversation every 3 pages :)

Yes, actually I AM a paid subscriber. I have been for the last 11 years since I got my MCSE. How long have you been a subscriber? Oh, and my email address is registered, too.
The problem, is I have Comcast and they've been dicking around with high-bandwidth users here in Chicago. Even though I also PAY for the higher bandwidth, they don't seem to know that and EVERYTIME my PAID ass gets even close to a busy download site, Comcast thinks it's a torrent server and that I'm about to start d/l'ing Blu-Ray movies I HAVEN'T paid for. I'm sure Comcast will get it's act together and the reason I don't complain is because they've left my connection pretty much full steam ahead wide open otherwise.
And I can only imagine what the D/L site is going to be like on Tuesday...
I honestly don't care if I have to wait until June. I was just curious because, well, I was just curious. I'm sure it's probably slowed down at Technet enough to get it, but it's not that big of a deal. It would be easiest to get it off an FTP server and that's why I asked. I fully understand everyone ELSE'S reply. I wouldn't give my password away and if I didn't know where it was at on an FTP site somewhere, I certainly wouldn't tell anyone anything other than to download the torrent.
It was a stupid question and a waste of bandwidth and time. As the saying goes, 'Ask a stupid question...' And that's all fine and jim goddamned dandy, but don't ever just assume to know me without asking or trying to get to know me, Drazenn. I wouldn't do that to you.

the reason im asking is because
1) there is absolutely no diference with the 1st leak than with the technet/msdn
(unless you want the one with debug code...
2) the only way to get it like that would be if you (AFAIK) through a "private site " which users pay to download...
and lastly
3) comcast cannot (unless you have a limit on how much you can download) without any reason limit you on http downloads.... (if they do complain!)
then that would mean that you would also be limited by ftp because you are saying that you are limited by torrent and http download...
and also they should not be difference between the download now and the one in may 5 (as i said if you are not limited by how much you can download...)
and lastly because most use sites such a MU and RS....
if you want a link to that then pm (only x64 and MU)
