Microsoft is making headway with the development process of the next iteration of its home server. An update of the public Beta of Windows Home Server Codename Vail is currently available for early adopters, according to Dave Berkowitz, senior communications manager Microsoft. The refresh is focused on tailoring the first Beta milestone of Windows Home Server Codename Vail to customers in two additional markets, expanding the language support beyond English. Specifically, testers in Germany and Japan will now be able to download and test-drive localized builds of Windows Home Server Codename Vail Beta.

“I’m happy to announce another update for the beta: starting today, German and Japanese editions of the Vail beta are now available for our international friends. Both the server and client components are completely localized into these two languages in this edition of the beta,” Berkowitz stated.
