That's precisely what happened to me when first going to download the 7000 builds and lost IE connection a few times for the 64bit edition. The immediate downloader install and process picked afterwards once the connection was re-established seeing that completed after the first two failed attempts. The 32bit fortunately kept going not seeing an interruption later.

Everytime I finish downloading the 64bit version (haven't tried the x86 version) I get an error saying the file might be corrupted, and I can only choose to either redownload or remove the file.

I've tried downloading six times now, I figured I might start asking if anyone has encountered the same problem? I'm running the 7000 build and using Firefox to download.

Try the direct links in the first post of the thread with IE8. copy and paste the direct d/l link in IE8's address bar. See if it completes that way without error.

I downloaded the 7100 RC x64 this morning to maybe try it at a later date.
FireFox did the same for me, switched to IE8, no issues, had it in about an hour and twenty minutes. Makes you wonder about Microsoft sometimes

I wasn't implying FireFox was the issue.
Maybe they are less issues using a Microsoft browser (IE8)..

When first going to click on the download links at MS the first will automatically see the MS downloader installed. That's how they set that up there.

The downloader itself insures everything is complete when finished. Once the download is complete you will see the 100% indication and no activity with the "done" seen at the bottom using the MS downloader through IE 8 or 7 if on XP or Vista when going for it.

The 32bit RC was done the first night in about 45 minutes. It was the 64bit RC that really took all night for that! At this point depending what time of day you start the download things should go a little faster then the first few days anyways while seeing a good bolume of traffic on their servers.

I'd suggest using that junky old IE8 since it seems to work better for MS stuff.
I have not had any problems starting and pausing, then restarting later.
but then I do use IE.
