Exactly. I don't know where anyone got the idea that a public forum of ANY kind was supposed to be "secure" in some way. Just don't put any information there that you wouldn't want broadcast on TV. That ought to cover the security issue.

I'm personally getting bored with FB myself. I've noticed most of my friends on there are posting less and less also. It's a good place to share photos & stuff but after awhile it does get tired.

This was no secret YEARS ago, although they did go thru a viral marketing push, and succeeded.

People don't care about privacy anymore and when you question the fact of this to a user, they say "are you paranoid?"

I've never noticed anything about privacy on there, and haven't really taken the time to look into all this hooplah about Facebook having bad privacy. So, can someone just give me a brief summary of what's going on?

You haven't heard much about privacy on facebook because, at default settings, it is non existent. Facebook plays fast and loose with your privacy. That is what this is all about. Facebook even makes it complex and difficult to find your privacy settings.

I have a simple policy that makes all their privacy settings irrelevant:
Don't post anything on the internet that I don't want other people to see.
My name is on the internet already, as well as my interests.

I hate facebook to such a degree. It's just a contact book for the NWO companies to track people.
