Microsoft Powers Up Campaign for IE8

Quote:
Microsoft this week debuted a new campaign for Internet Explorer 8, highlighting how it easy it is to fall victim to online scams.

A TV spot kicked off the campaign on Monday night during Fox's Lie to Me and Good Guys. It shows real people in New York City being asked to provide personal information in order to open a new account and receive a $500 cash reward. Consumers are told to fill out outrageous information, including the kind of underwear they prefer, until it's revealed that the bank is fake. The full ad can be seen on the Internet Explorer 8 homepage.

I just saw this while watching a movie. So I thought I'd post.

Lol. Sometimes... you guys just make me laugh a little too hard. XD

I personally think that MS doesn't need to do this, they already have most of their users running IE.

either he meant rocks are smarter than to eat ethernet cables

or

rocks are smarter than to tell people what underwear they wear

BTW...

Do you know what underwear rocks wear?

I don't think this type of campaign is needed. The IE guys are just that and the "other browser" guys are that as well. They have both made up their minds for whatever reasons. I am in the other browser group because I just find that FF is a much better browser for me.

Microsoft just needs to develop a better browser and stop trailing behind the others. How long was it before IE actually had a Tab feature and how long had Mozilla already been using it?

Microsoft steps up its Windows campaign with a 4-year-old
As expected, Microsoft debuted the next phase of its $300 million campaign at the Grammys yesterday. The ad is a very good one, not because it uses a 4-and-a-half year old little girl, but because it actually shows her using Windows and Windows Live to get a task done. Kylie takes a digital camera...
