What do you want to see in IE9?

FIREFOX,that's all.
OMG. This statement says it all. If Firefox would totally replace IE, it would be a great thing.

IE6 toolbar, menu. Why they decided to scatter them to 3 different places...
I agree. IE6 was simple and fun to use because was right in front of you. Never missed anything.
IE8 is just a mess.
They need to make IE9 look like IE6 but with tabs!

- Fully standards compliant with no proprietary way of rendering a page (HTML5, CSS2.1/3, etc)... no rendering glitches!
- Faster performance with rendering, encrypted streams, etc.
- Pass the Acid3 test with 100 and score first on Peacekeeper (haha).
- Spell check would be nice... maybe some other Word features.
With the coming of netbooks/nettops and cloud computing Microsoft really needs to get their act together with IE.

Firefox is an overvalued navigator, Opera is better.

IE8 is a pile of junk!! It is slow and bloated. It should go the way of Windows ME and Vista. From what I have heard recently, Windows 7 RC is no faster than Vista.
Microsoft has completely lost it's way and needs new management instead of the jokesters running it now. (Ballmer).

All very good points...Standards compliance would definitely be nice.
I'd agree that the UI needs to be addressed. I would like to see a cleaner, less scattered interface.

I honestly don't want to see IE9 ..
every time windows updates IE its getting slower and slower keep it with firefox and remove IE give people the option to choose what they want to install ..

They need to simplify the next IE. It's turned into a full featured enthusiasts browser that's slow and bloated. The only people who use it anymore are the people that have never tried anything else or don't even know how to download another browser and a few people who know what they're doing and like it for whatever reason.
I think they need to simplify it for the grandmas and kids that just use what comes on their computer and forget about the rest of us. It needs a complete overhaul before I'll ever use it again.
