They didnt fix any of the problems with Firefox 3. It still takes ages to start and also the hardware acceleration is disabled by default..The performance is not that great (behind IE9 in tests )

The aero preview is still broken!

How long does yours take to start?? Mine takes only a few seconds at most, and that's when I'm loading 2 dozen saved tabs....

    @ BCXtreme

Cold start 13sec...I had to uninstall Minefield because Adblock didnt work anymore. The 3 main reasons I use FF is Adblock Plus, the way how it handles bookmarks and the RSS reader. Mozzilla should really concentrate in making this browser more snappy.

Wow ... looking at your system specs I can't imagine why it could possibly be taking so long.

Mine is pretty quick to start. At least as fast as 3.6
Ive not had any issues since i first posted (both XP and W7) other than if i follow a link for an app on itunes. This causes FF to keep opening blank tabs (100's of them), other thna that im happy to keep using it. I dont really use any plug insor extensions, other than the standard ones like Flash etc.

Does anyone know how to enable Direct 2D hardware acceleration (or does it even work yet?)

I have it running in a Windows XP VM with a single CPU dedicated and only 512MB RAM. It opens in 3-4 seconds. The only add-on is Adblock Plus.

... hmm few things i dont like about not havering the menu bar,

i like it not being there because it looks cooler, but it gets rid of the "X" close button, now it takes 2 steps to close any window.

seccond i wish the orange "firefox" button could be changeable to another color

third full screen it adds a black bar to the bottom that surves no purpose but to fill the space that getting rid of the top bar removed.
seemed to be a bug (required restart of browser)

finally when windowed the bar around the window cuts off trickily (persona only) i still think it should be fixed though

EDIT: where is that?! (the loading bar on top of the tab)
