    The thing that I don't understand about this, is that since they are operating in the open, and are doing something that I "think" is illegal, why are they allowed to continue, rather than being shutdown and prosecuted? This seems like a lot bigger issue than someone ripping off a song, or hacking a program for their own use, but all that seems to ever be done is to issue warnings to the users.

    Agreed. I had Norton System Works on my first computer, and I will never have it or any other of their products again.
