Also done. Guess it's no big deal for MS to have my info... they've had it on file since the early days of XP :). -----> For BomberAF ----->
Seriously, both Microsoft and Bill Gates personally have done quite a lot charity. In fact, I believe there are not many companies in this world of ours donating more money.
The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation
Not much difference than NBC holding Katrina telethons or CNN holding Oil Spill telethons to make advertising money.
Or companies that donate to breast cancer research for buying their product or service.
Personally, I'm willing to participate and give my email address to any publicity stunt at least trying to do some good, only exception being companies whose products and / or principals I do not accept.
Well with millions of people online, the possibility for everyone participating and MS honoring the deal could give a lot of money to schools. Most companies have an amount of money they donate each year because it is good, also helps their image and can lower taxes to be paid. Having an open ended $3 per person with no gaurentee of any limit is exeptional no matter what amount they eventually do pay out.
